Frequently asked questions.
Can I bring my baby to the ER for a fever?
Yes — and for babies under 3 months, any fever (100.4°F or higher) needs immediate ER evaluation. For older infants and children, high fevers or fevers with other symptoms warrant a visit.
Do you have pediatric-sized equipment?
Yes — IV catheters, blood pressure cuffs, X-ray protocols and medications all sized and dosed for pediatric patients from infants to teens.
Can a parent stay with the child?
Always. Family-centered care is standard at our ER — parents stay with their child throughout the visit, including during procedures whenever possible.
Do you treat teenagers?
Yes — our ER cares for patients of all ages, from newborns to teens to adults to seniors.
Will the pediatrician get a report?
Yes — we forward your child's records to their primary care doctor with your permission, usually within 24 hours of the visit.
